School Activities

La Casa de los Niņos remained open the month of August, traditional vacation time for the public schools, thus allowing the kids to continue
participating in creative activities, such as art and reading, and to use the computers for games, email and internet.
Many, many thanks to Dianna Rohde, who helped the children and supervised during this time. Patti & David returned to California to "take care of
business", while Jim & Dulce spent the month galavanting in Europe and visiting friends there. (If you would like to travel with us vicariously, click the picture of the
Gran Place at left).

Gearing Up
The upcoming school year will soon be upon us and we are again hard at work making preparations, organizing and planning. We have a tentative organizational plan written, which will serve as
a guideline for the year.
One of the first things we will have to do is re-paint our large, outside sign. The July and August rains almost erased it entirely!
We now have installed the new rejas (iron gratings) at la casita, adding more security as well as a more "finished" look..
